A: If your present hosting provider can no longer answer the demands of your site, or when you undergo constant network downtime, or if you are made to wait for hours for the client support staff to respond back to you, it might be a clever idea to swap your web hosting provider, i.e. to migrate all the files for your websites as well as your databases from your present provider to your future provider. At hostshot, we are aware that this can often be difficult and time–consuming. That’s why we will accomplish all that for you for free!Our highly experienced technical staff members will migrate your web site content from your present hosting provider to us. Our technicians have got a lot of experience migrating websites and are able to handle everything – from a customary WordPress–powered blog or Joomla^™ site, to an extremely complex, custom–built application.

A: While we can’t give you an exact ETA, because there are plenty of variables, including the physical size of the web files and databases, the physical location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your web site and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we will do our best to move your site within 48 hours, and in certain cases – within 24 hours (in case the website content is not very large).

A: We’ll need the login details for your old hosting provider’s Control Panel and the web site’s name (domain name).

A: Customer privacy is indeed one of our prime responsibilities – for this reason, both our payment transaction page and our Control Panel login page are protected with enterprise–level Secure Sockets Layer certificates. We employ security measures, which include, but are not limited to: physical, digital and administrative operations to protect the details that we assemble online. And we’ve got a detailed and strict Privacy Policy, which outlines the types of information that we gather.

A: While we move your site, it will be available both in your hosting account with us and in your account with your previous hosting provider. After the transfer is finished, we’ll make sure that everything is functioning correctly and that the integrity of your data is not jeopardized prior to informing you that the migration is done. Then we will tell you how to transfer the domain to your web hosting account with us and how to change the DNS records.

A: No. Apart from your login credentials for the Control Panel, we will not require anything. We’ll never contact your hosting provider. They will not know anything about the transfer either.

A: We support all Linux–driven hosting platforms. Fundamentally, if we can acquire access to your Control Panel, we’ll be able to transfer your website.The only platforms that we do not support are closed–source site management platforms such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
